§1442a Members of Armed Forces Sued or Prosecuted

Summary

Lets a member of the U.S. armed forces who is sued or criminally charged in a state court move the case to the U.S. district court before the trial or final hearing if the act was done while acting with military authority or if the service member says they have rights under U.S. military law or the law of war. The federal district court must take the case, treat it as if it started there, and has full power to hear and decide it.
