§1609 Immunity From Attachment and Execution of Property of a Foreign State

Summary

Property in the United States that belongs to a foreign state can't be seized to satisfy judgments, except under international agreements in effect at enactment or sections 1610 or 1611.

Subject to existing international agreements to which the United States is a party at the time of enactment of this Act the property in the United States of a foreign state shall be immune from attachment 11 So in original. Probably should be followed by a comma. arrest 1 and execution except as provided in section 1610 and 1611 of this chapter.
