Title 29 › Chapter 6— JURISDICTION OF COURTS IN MATTERS AFFECTING EMPLOYER AND EMPLOYEE › § 102
It says workers must be free to join together, organize themselves, and pick their own representatives to bargain over pay and workplace rules. They must be able to do this without interference, control, or pressure from employers or their agents. Workers may also choose not to join. Because businesses can be organized and powerful, a single worker often can’t get fair terms alone. So the law sets rules about how federal courts will interpret and protect these rights.
