Most yearly reports, statements, and other papers filed with the Secretary of Labor must be open to the public and kept for people to view in the Department of Labor’s public reading room. The Secretary can use the information for statistics and research and can publish studies or reports based on it. Information about a participant covered by sections 1025(a) and 1025(c) can be shared only to the same extent it may be shared under title II of the Social Security Act [42 U.S.C. 401 et seq.].
