People who must file reports or certify information under this subchapter, including the documents in subparagraphs (E)–(I) of section 1021(k), must keep a copy and the supporting records (vouchers, worksheets, receipts, and any applicable resolutions). The records must let the reports be checked and must be available for review for six years after filing, or six years after they would have been filed if the filer is exempt or under the simplified reporting rules in section 1024(a)(2) or (3).
