Title 29 › Chapter 18— EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT INCOME SECURITY PROGRAM › Subchapter II— JURISDICTION, ADMINISTRATION, ENFORCEMENT; JOINT PENSION TASK FORCE, ETC. › Subtitle Subtitle A— Jurisdiction, Administration, and Enforcement › § 1204
Require the Secretaries of the Treasury and Labor to work together and make shared rules, forms, and procedures when they deal with the same topic. They must cut down on repeated work, duplicate reports, conflicting rules, and the paperwork burden for plan administrators, employers, and people covered by the plans. Allow them to make agreements with other federal, state, or local agencies to share work and save money. They can use another agency’s offices, services, or staff, sometimes paying for them, if that agency agrees. Other agencies must cooperate and, when the law allows, give information or help. If Treasury or Labor find evidence of a possible crime, they must send it to the Attorney General.
