If a multiemployer plan adopts an authorized amendment more than 36 months after this law took effect, the change only becomes effective if the corporation approves it or does not disapprove within 90 days after getting notice and a copy from the plan sponsor. Amendments allowed by section 1391(c)(5) must follow that section. The corporation may disapprove an amendment only if it finds the change would create an unreasonable risk of loss to plan participants, beneficiaries, or to the corporation.
