Title 29 › Chapter 20— MIGRANT AND SEASONAL AGRICULTURAL WORKER PROTECTION › Subchapter I— FARM LABOR CONTRACTORS › § 1814
You may not transfer or give your registration certificate to someone else. A certificate ends 12 months after it is issued unless it is suspended or revoked. Certificates issued between December 1, 1982, and November 30, 1983, could be issued for up to 24 months. You can ask for a temporary extension by filing an application with the Secretary at least 30 days before it expires. The Secretary can renew certificates for 12-month periods or for up to 24 months. Renewals longer than 12 months are only for farm labor contractors who have not been cited for violations of this chapter, its regulations, or the Farm Labor Contractor Registration Act of 1963 and its regulations in the past five years.
