Title 29 › Chapter 21— HELEN KELLER NATIONAL CENTER FOR YOUTHS AND ADULTS WHO ARE DEAF-BLIND › § 1902
The Secretary of Education must keep running and supporting the Helen Keller National Center for Youths and Adults who are Deaf-Blind the same way it was run before February 22, 1984, as long as that way does not conflict with the Center’s goals or other rules in this chapter. The Center’s goals are to provide needed services anywhere in the United States to help deaf-blind people reach their fullest personal development; train family members and train professionals who work with deaf-blind people; and do practical research, development, and demonstrations about communication, teaching, aids and devices, and how services are delivered.
