Title 29 › Chapter 29— WORKERS TECHNOLOGY SKILL DEVELOPMENT › § 2705
The Secretary of Labor must work with the Secretary of Commerce to help workers, labor groups, and employers adopt new workplace technologies and better work practices. They must gather and share best practices and assessment tools that cover four things: ways for labor and management to work together and include workers, how to design and put new practices in place, new ways to organize work, and how to check worker skills and training needs. The materials must include case summaries, ways to judge current practices, and information on top education and training resources. Commerce will pick an organization to send these materials to the Regional Centers for the Transfer of Manufacturing Technology, the Manufacturing Outreach Center, other tech training groups, and others the two Secretaries choose.
