Federal ownership shares in land or buildings bought with grants under this Act, Title III of the Social Security Act, or the Wagner‑Peyser Act are given to the States that used those grants. The part of a property that came from the federal share must be used for programs allowed by those laws. If the property is sold or otherwise disposed of, the Secretary’s rules must be followed and the money from the federal share must be used for those same programs. States may not use funds from this Act, Title III of the Social Security Act, or the Wagner‑Peyser Act to pay for or spread out the cost of real property purchased on or after February 15, 2007.
