§527 Cooperation with Other Agencies and Departments

Summary

The Secretary can make agreements with other government agencies to share work and avoid wasted cost or repeated efforts. He can use the buildings, services, or employees of federal, state, or local agencies, but only if those agencies agree. Other federal departments must help the Secretary and, as allowed by law, provide information and access when asked. If the Secretary finds evidence that could lead to a crime, he must give it to the Attorney General or a representative so it can be considered for prosecution.
