Title 29 › Chapter 15— OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH › § 675
Within 120 days after each regular session of Congress begins, the Secretary of Labor and the Secretary of Health and Human Services must each prepare a report and give it to the President to send to Congress. The report must describe the chapter’s subject, progress toward its goals, and the needs in the field of workplace safety and health, plus any other important information. The report must cover standards and criteria made in the past year; reviews of earlier standards and where new ones are needed; how well rules are being followed and a summary of inspections and enforcement; research results from government and non‑government work; major job-related diseases; available control and measurement technology for newly covered hazards; cooperative work between agencies and others; progress on training enough safety workers and future needs; a list of industrial toxic substances without labeling or standards; and any recommended new laws.
