Title 30 › Chapter 23— GEOTHERMAL RESOURCES › § 1019
Except for lands in Alaska, money the United States gets from sales, bonuses, rentals, and royalties under this chapter must go into the U.S. Treasury. After following the rules in subsection (b) of section 191 and section 1004(a)(2) of this title, 50% is paid to the State where the leased lands or geothermal resources are or were located and 25% is paid to the county, and those payments must be used under section 191.
