Title 30 › Chapter 25— SURFACE MINING CONTROL AND RECLAMATION › Subchapter VII— ADMINISTRATIVE AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS › § 1309b
The Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement may do studies, research, and demonstration projects about how to carry out and comply with subchapter V. It can also give technical help to states for that work. Before approving any project, the OSMRE Director must first talk with the Director, Bureau of Mines, and get a decision that the Bureau is not already doing similar work. Any projects for subchapter IV may only be done under section 1231(c)(6) of this title.
