§1467 Jurisdiction of Courts

Summary
Only U.S. district courts can hear cases brought under this chapter. They may, at any time, order someone to stop doing something, issue warrants or orders about property, require bonds or other financial guarantees, and take other steps needed to make things fair.

Title 30, §1467
Mineral Lands and Mining, Source: USLM XML via OLRC
The district courts of the United States shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any case or controversy arising under the provisions of this chapter. These courts may, at any time—
(1)enter restraining orders or prohibitions;
(2)issue warrants, process in rem, or other process;
(3)prescribe and accept satisfactory bonds or other security; and
(4)take such other actions as are in the interest of justice.
