Title 30 › Chapter 4— LEASE OF GOLD, SILVER, OR QUICKSILVER DEPOSITS WHEN TITLE CONFIRMED BY COURT OF PRIVATE LAND CLAIMS › § 291
The Secretary of the Interior can lease gold, silver, or quicksilver on lands confirmed by the Court of Private Land Claims if the original grant did not give the mineral rights and the grantee has not otherwise obtained them. Leases run 20 years, and the lessee has first right to renew for 10-year terms on conditions the Secretary sets.
