Title 30 › Chapter 12— MULTIPLE MINERAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE SAME TRACTS › § 528
Claim owners may, before a patent is issued, give up all rights to minerals covered by the Leasing Act. If they sign, acknowledge, and record that waiver where the claim’s location notice is filed, the claim becomes subject to the reservation in section 524 and any patent must include it. The waiver does not concede claim’s priority date or validity.
