The Comptroller General may audit nonappropriated funds and related activities that sell goods or services to U.S. government workers and their families. This includes the funds' operations and accounts, their accounting systems and internal controls, and any internal or outside audits or reviews. The head of each agency must quickly give the Comptroller General annual reports when asked—including for funds with more than $100,000 in annual gross sales—or other yearly financial statements the two agree on. Records and property must be made available as the Comptroller General needs.
