Title 31 › Subtitle SUBTITLE V— GENERAL ASSISTANCE ADMINISTRATION › Chapter 73— ADMINISTERING BLOCK GRANTS › § 7303
Each State's chief executive must file each year a report on planned use of block grant money. The report must list goals, the activities, areas, and people to be served, and how the funds will be divided, including how need will affect distribution. Starting with the fiscal year ending September 30, 1983, each report must also explain how the State met the prior year's goals. A State cannot get the funds until it holds a public hearing after proper notice, and reports and updates must be made public and open for comment.
