Title 32 › Chapter 5— TRAINING › § 506
The President must assign members of the Regular Army or Regular Air Force to train the National Guard. The Army and Air Force Secretaries may send them to encampments or other exercises for field or coastal defense training, and they must teach when ordered by the Secretary or when the governor or commander asks.
