Title 32 › Chapter 7— SERVICE, SUPPLY, AND PROCUREMENT › § 704
When the President calls any part of the Army or Air National Guard to active federal duty, he can free the State, Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, Guam, or the Virgin Islands from responsibility for U.S. property that had been issued to that Guard unit. He can require whatever conditions he chooses when doing this.
