Title 33 › Chapter 26— WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL › Subchapter II— GRANTS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF TREATMENT WORKS › § 1295
Grants applied for after February 1, 1978 for treatment works must use raw items that were extracted or grown in the United States and finished goods built in the United States mostly from U.S. parts. The Administrator may waive this if it hurts the public interest (including agreements with other governments about buying goods), if it is too costly, or if suitable U.S. items are not available in the needed quantity or quality.
