Title 33 › Chapter 26— WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL › Subchapter III— STANDARDS AND ENFORCEMENT › § 1314a
EPA must update certain wastewater help programs to add information about cost-effective and alternative wastewater recycling and treatment technologies, including onsite and decentralized systems. EPA must also give information about the cost effectiveness of these options to local governments and nonprofit groups that are seeking federal funds. The programs include those that give technical help for wastewater, such as nonpoint source management (section 1329) and the sewer sludge permit program (section 1345). Within 1 year after October 23, 2018, and at least every 3 years after that, EPA must send a report to Congress. The report must describe what information was given to local governments and nonprofits, which States and regions used alternative technologies most, and what EPA did to help States deploy these technologies, including onsite and decentralized systems.
