Title 33 › Chapter 30— INTERNATIONAL REGULATIONS FOR PREVENTING COLLISIONS AT SEA › § 1606
Gives the Secretary of the Navy the power to add extra station lights or whistle signals for warships and ships in convoy, and lets the head of the department running the Coast Guard add extra lights for fishing vessels that fish together as a fleet. Those extra signals must not be mistaken for any in the International Regulations and must be published in the Federal Register; after the notice’s effective date they become part of the International Regulations.
