Title 33 › Chapter 35— ARTIFICIAL REEFS › § 2102
Artificial reefs in the waters covered by this law must be placed, built, monitored, and managed using the best scientific information available. They must: (1) improve fishery resources as much as possible; (2) make them accessible and usable by United States recreational and commercial fishermen; (3) reduce conflicts between different uses of the waters and their resources; (4) minimize environmental risks and dangers to people’s health and property; and (5) follow generally accepted international law and not create any unreasonable obstruction to navigation.
