Title 33 › Chapter 35— ARTIFICIAL REEFS › § 2105
Defines three key words used in the chapter. Artificial reef means a man-made structure put in the chapter’s waters to improve fish habitat and help commercial and recreational fishing. State means a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, Johnston Island, Midway Island, and Wake Island. Waters covered under the chapter means the navigable waters of the United States and the waters above the Outer Continental Shelf (as defined in section 1331 of title 43), but only where those waters are in or next to any State.
