§2295 Compilation of Laws; Annual Reports

Summary

Compile and print the U.S. laws about river and harbor work, flood control, beach erosion, and other water projects that were passed after November 8, 1966 and before January 1, 1987. The Secretary and the Chief of Engineers must do this within one year after November 17, 1986. Volumes with laws passed before November 8, 1966 must be reprinted. Each volume needs an index, and copies must be sent to Congress. The Secretary must also send the annual report required by section 556 in two volumes: Volume I with a summary and highlights of the Corps’ work and authorities, and Volume II with detailed information and field reports. Each annual report needs an index. Every two years the Secretary must publish, for each State in its own volume, a public report listing every water project under the Secretary’s control in that State and the status of each project; those State reports must be issued together, with the first set published no later than one year after November 17, 1986.
