§2313a Engineering and Environmental Innovations of National Significance

Summary

The Secretary may do surveys, planning, and studies and prepare reports to promote new engineering and environmental solutions for problems of national importance. Those studies can lead to work under current civil works authority or to recommendations for new approvals. Up to $1,000,000 is authorized for each of fiscal years 1997 through 2000 to carry out this work. The Secretary may also accept and spend extra funds from other Federal agencies, States, or non‑Federal groups for these purposes.
