Says a specific part of the west arm of the South Fork of the South Branch of the Chicago River in the southwest quarter of section 32, township 39 north, range 14 east, in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, is not to be treated as navigable water of the United States starting September 1, 1959. The area is the part west of a straight line between two points on the west arm’s south and north dock lines, measured 203.94 feet and 278 feet west from their intersections with the west dock line, as fixed by the Chicago ordinance of July 17, 1911. Before any fill is placed in that part of the waterway, plans for a bulkhead to hold the fill must be submitted to and approved by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
