Title 33 › Chapter 43— NATIONAL OCEANIC AND ATMOSPHERIC ADMINISTRATION COMMISSIONED OFFICER CORPS › Subchapter V— RIGHTS AND BENEFITS › § 3074
Officers and crew of Administration ships may buy commissary and quartermaster items from the Armed Forces at the same prices given to military officers and enlisted members. The Secretary can buy food, stores, uniforms, gear, and similar items for sale on ships and at shore stations to uniformed personnel and staff, and must set rules for those sales. Money from the sales should, as much as possible, repay the accounts charged without regard to fiscal year. The same buying rights also apply to surviving spouses and others the Secretary names.
