Title 33 › Chapter 45— TSUNAMI WARNING AND EDUCATION › § 3208
The NOAA Administrator must work with State and local emergency managers to create and run formal outreach programs that teach people about tsunamis and help communities become more resilient. These programs can include making plans to link tsunami warning centers (including those supported under section 3203(d)) with local National Weather Service Forecast Offices and emergency managers, training those Forecast Offices to send tsunami alerts, and reviewing how well warnings and coordination worked after major tsunamis.
