Gives the Mississippi River Commission more territory to deal with. It now covers the land between the east side of Bayou Lafourche Ridge and the Mississippi River’s west guide levee from Donaldsonville, Louisiana, to the Gulf of Mexico; Alexander County, Illinois; and the Illinois area from the Mississippi–Ohio meeting point north to about mile 39.5, including the Len Small Drainage and Levee District—but only where those places are affected by Mississippi River floodwaters.
