§702a–4 Fuse-plug Levees

Summary

After the Eudora Floodway is finished and ready to use, the fuse‑plug levees at the heads of the Boeuf, Tensas, and the west side of the Atchafalaya Basin must be built to the 1914 grade and the 1928 section. The east‑side Atchafalaya levees must be built to those same levels and, after the Morganza Floodway is completed, raised to the 1928 grade under section 702a–3. Any parts kept as fuse‑plug levees must then be rebuilt and maintained under section 702a–3. Money appropriated under sections 702g–1 and 702k–1 may be used for this work.
