Defines key words used in the subchapter. "Career law enforcement officer" is a person hired as a regular employee who is officially allowed by law or a state or local agency to do or oversee police work like preventing, finding, or investigating crimes. "Citizens’ police academy" is a program run by local police or nonprofits that trains citizens, especially neighborhood watch members, to help communication with police and prevent crime. "Indian tribe" is a tribe, band, pueblo, nation, or similar Indian group, including Alaska Native villages (as defined or created under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, 43 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.), that the U.S. recognizes for federal Indian programs and services. "School resource officer" is a sworn, career police officer placed in schools to work with schools and community groups on crime prevention, student safety, gang and drug issues, conflict resolution and restorative justice training, improving the school environment to reduce crime, and advising on school policies. "Commercial sex act" and "severe form of trafficking in persons" have the meanings given in section 7102 of title 22. "Minor" is a person under 18 years old.
