The Attorney General must use available funds, acting through the Director of the Bureau of Prisons, to pick eligible federal prisoners to live in community correctional facilities with their children. The Attorney General may hire public or private agencies to provide housing, food, services, and supervision for those inmates. The Attorney General may place federal participants in State projects (defined in subpart 1) and must reimburse the State for all project costs, including administrative costs, using funds available under section 13883(b)(2) of title 42.
