Title 34 › Subtitle Subtitle I— Comprehensive Acts › Chapter 121— VIOLENT CRIME CONTROL AND LAW ENFORCEMENT › Subchapter III— VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN › Part H— Domestic Violence Task Force › § 12431
The Attorney General must set up a task force with national nonprofit experts on domestic violence. The group will include representatives from every federal agency that pays for domestic violence research. The task force must coordinate research and tell Congress if work is overlapping or duplicated. It must report to Congress every year. Money for the task force must be used to make a coordinated research plan (education, prevention, intervention), track and report federal research and spending, and find gaps or duplicate efforts. "Domestic violence" means what section 10447 says. Congress authorized $500,000 for each of fiscal years 2001 through 2004.
