Grants can pay to protect victims’ personally identifying information by creating or improving rules and procedures, changing databases and notification systems, and building a single confidential opt-out so a victim can ask once to be removed from many systems. Grants can also pay to make technology safer, stop tech abuses like electronic or GPS stalking (including rules about government electronic surveillance), and train law enforcement on high-tech crimes tied to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
