The Attorney General must expand training and tools to help police, prosecutors, and probation and parole officers stop sex offenders who use the Internet to target children. The Attorney General must meet with companies that make or run computer and Internet services to spot technology problems, hold national training conferences, share materials on how agencies can work together to enforce probation, parole, and sex offender registration rules, and improve coordination for joint investigations. The Attorney General must give all Internet Crimes Against Children Task Forces technology based on the Canadian Child Exploitation Tracking System and train people to use it. By July 1, 2007, the Attorney General must report to Congress on these actions and any recommendations. Congress authorized $1,000,000 for the training work and $2,000,000 for the technology for fiscal year 2007.
