The Attorney General must allow the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and government social service agencies that protect children to use the national crime information databases. The Center may use the data only to help law enforcement with criminal-justice tasks. The social service agencies may use it only when investigating or responding to child abuse, neglect, or exploitation. The Attorney General will set the rules and limit access to staff who complete required training, certification, and background checks.
