§30304 Prison Rape Prevention and Prosecution

Summary

Creates a national clearinghouse at the National Institute of Corrections to give information and help and to provide training to federal, state, and local officials who deal with prison rape. By September 30 each year the Institute must send a report to Congress and the Secretary of Health and Human Services, available to the Director of the Bureau of Justice Statistics, summarizing the Department of Justice’s prior-year prison rape abatement activities. It authorized $5,000,000 per year for fiscal years 2004 through 2010.
