The Attorney General must set up permanent Fugitive Apprehension Task Forces made up of federal, state, and local police. After consulting law enforcement units in the Justice and Treasury Departments, the U.S. Marshals Service will lead and coordinate these regional teams to find and arrest people wanted by the law. Money can be provided for this: $30,000,000 for fiscal year 2001, $5,000,000 for fiscal year 2002, $5,000,000 for fiscal year 2003, and $10,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2008 through 2012. This does not limit any other federal or state authority to locate or arrest fugitives.
