The last Sunday in September is Gold Star Mother's Day. The President is asked to issue a proclamation asking government officials to fly the United States flag on all government buildings, and urging people across the country to fly the flag and hold suitable meetings at homes, churches, or other places that day to show love, sorrow, and respect for Gold Star Mothers.
