Title 36 › Subtitle Subtitle II— Patriotic and National Organizations › Part B— Organizations › Chapter 1524— NATIONAL RECORDING PRESERVATION FOUNDATION › § 152405
The corporation can make its own constitution and bylaws, create a seal that courts must accept, and do other things needed to carry out its work. It has the usual powers of a trustee where its main office is. That includes taking gifts and bequests, buying or selling property, borrowing money, making contracts with public and private groups, suing and being sued, and any other acts needed to do its job. It may accept gifts even if they have debts, limits, or private claims, as long as any present or future interest helps the corporation.
