The corporation may take many actions to manage itself and carry out its goals. It can make and change its rules, create seals and badges, pick leaders and staff, sign contracts, buy or lease property and use it as security for loans, borrow money, publish magazines, charge dues and subscriptions, accept donations and grants, give awards, hold safety conferences, set up offices and local, State, and regional chapters, and bring or defend lawsuits. It may also do other acts needed to fulfill its purposes.
