The corporation cannot do business for profit unless the activity is closely connected to the purposes listed in section 220102 or is for raising money to carry out those purposes. It cannot issue stock or pay dividends. It must stay nonpolitical, cannot give money or help to someone running for public office, and cannot spend a substantial part of its work on propaganda or trying to influence legislation. Money or property cannot go to the personal benefit of a governor, officer, member, or employee, nor be paid out to anyone while the corporation exists or when it is closed. The corporation may pay reasonable wages and reimburse actual necessary expenses if the board of governors approves. It also cannot make loans to a governor, officer, member, or employee.
