Title 36 › Subtitle Subtitle II— Patriotic and National Organizations › Part B— Organizations › Chapter 2205— UNITED STATES OLYMPIC AND PARALYMPIC COMMITTEE › Subchapter I— CORPORATION › § 220507
The corporation must not try to make a profit or sell stock. It must be nonpolitical and must not support or promote anyone running for public office. The corporation must create 1 or more policies that stop any employee, contractor, or agent from helping a member or former member get a new job if that person knows the member broke the Center’s rules on sexual misconduct or was convicted of sexual misconduct with a minor. The only exception is routine sending of administrative or personnel files. The corporation must also have a policy to hold back bonus or severance pay from anyone named as the subject of an ethics investigation by the ethics committee until that person is cleared. If the ethics committee finds the person violated the corporation’s policies, the person loses any withheld bonus or severance pay, and the compensation committee can reduce or cancel that pay. If the person is the subject of a criminal investigation, the ethics committee must investigate them.
