Sets rules for choosing one national governing body for each sport at the Olympic, Paralympic, Pan‑American, and Parapan American Games. The corporation can certify one eligible organization that applies under section 220522, including three types: amateur sports groups, high‑performance management groups, or paralympic sports groups. Before certifying, it must hold at least two public hearings, publish notice in its main publication 30 to 60 days before the hearings, and send written notice and a copy of the application at least 30 days before to all amateur sports organizations it knows in that sport. Within 61 days after certification, it must recommend and support that body to the proper international sports federation as the U.S. representative. Within 8 years after the enactment of the Empowering Olympic, Paralympic, and Amateur Athletes Act of 2020, and at least every 4 years after that, the corporation must review whether each organization should remain certified. It may place conditions or take other actions it finds appropriate. The corporation must send Congress a summary report of each review and make each report public.
