The corporation must follow six main goals. It works to keep and promote loyalty to the United States; honor and create memorials for U.S. submarine sailors who died in submarine warfare during World War II; preserve the spirit and unity of WWII submarine crews; teach the public about life on WWII submarines by saving, restoring, and showing those subs; award annual college scholarships; and carry out charitable acts allowed by its constitution and bylaws.
