Its goals are to preserve the Nation’s founding principles for future generations; help disabled veterans of World War II, the Korean conflict, and the Vietnam era by providing care, facilities, and free help with VA and other claims; serve the community, State, and Nation; oppose prejudice, ignorance, and disease; promote voting and honest public officials; teach and encourage informed citizenship; support peaceful cooperation among nations; serve the country in peace as in war; develop the Nation’s human and economic resources; keep veterans’ friendships from service; and honor those who died by creating new educational, cultural, and recreational memorials.
